Snoopy caught Lucy on a good day.
that is the nicest thing I have “herd” Lucy said to snoopy about him tacking things away from her
That was an extraordinarily calm and collected response from little miss fussbudget. Particularly from this era of the strip.
Was hoping she would of fallen right on her face from waiting or at least put her back out from the bend. I know it’s not nice but this is Lucy !
That is rather uncharacteristic restraint on her part.
Snoopy intimidated by Lucy? Maybe it was just the she was no fun if she wasn’t going to pursue. That’s it.
Ohhh, Lucy! She can dish it out but she can’t take it! ;)
Maybe Charlie Brown should try this method with Lucy…

Perfect. Little Snoopy in the last panel is wonderful. I thought for a second he might show up as The Masked Marvel, but, alas.
Know Lucy to ruin all of Snoopy’s fun.
Lucy, it is never wise to threaten someone who is faster than you are, has sharper teeth than you do, and can have the SPCA and PETA on your tail so fast that you’d think you were in a time warp!
