In 1986 we had an American exchange student from Spooner, Wisconsin. Nice girl, a staunch Christian. I was often embarrassed when apartheid was discussed in front of her in our class as I wondered how awful she must think of us; but she rarely reacted. However, I do recall a strong recation to Jesus ’Sixto’ Rodriguez’s song ‘Gommorah (A Nursery Rhyme)’ which has kids singing to ‘America is Beautiful’. She didn’t like it much. Not. at. all. Never really understood why. Till now perhaps!
That’s funny, like the 6000 commercials where the white dude is the nerd. Very original. Took a lot of effort. Wow! You and your rear-end clown friends ought to just belly laugh at that stuff all day. Incredible! Man, you are just hilarious.
