Those yards of oiled wool can get pretty steamy. You need the winds off of the firth to cool things down.

His socks and shoes. I’ve worn a few kilts in my time at regimental parades.

A true Scotsman will never tell you what he wears under his kilt. However, he will show you at the drop of a hat

You can tell about a Scot’s clan by the kilt. Lift it up, and if you find a quarter-pounder underneath, you know he’s a McDonald!

I have no comment. Just wanted to let you know I read all your clever comments and enjoyed ‘most’ of them. My grandparents were from Scotland so all things Scottish have a special place in my heart.

The modern kilt is a Victorian invention. The real version was like a blanket that wrapped around the body, rather like a toga..If you have the inclination you can have a tartan designed for your tribe, family or religion. There is a Sikh tartan.

Not surprisingly, I have many friends and relative with kilts. My new man may eventually wear one to some events. Things are going very well and I’m going to his theater performance in a bit – first time I’ll hear him sing, surprisingly.

I think there’s a bone joke in there somewhere too.
