Um, this looks to me more like Capitol Hill than the White House. And the wording (including “we” and the fact that only Congress can extend unemployment benefits) implies that this is a voice of Congress, rather than that of Mr. Obama.
I recognize that every cartoon provides a fresh opportunity to denigrate Mr. Obama, however, so make the most of it. I will gladly move aside and let the hate-fest continue.
It’s the GOP-controlled house that isn’t working. I’ve seen Obama come up with ideas for jobs bills, energy bills, social security, immigration reform, and sensible budgets. A number of them have even passed the senate. They all die with the Party of No controlling the house. A group that is opposed to the very idea of government, the very idea of America.
gop house pass job bill after job bill but hairy reid blocks them because he knows that jobs will take people of the dole and then will be less likely to vote for the democrats
The real problem is that with the current system, Senators, but especially House Representatives are required to spend 88% of their time working to raise funds for the next election!
Campaign reform, NOW! Restore the equal time (on public airwaves) doctrine! Reverse “Citizens United”, and restore heartbeats as a requirement for “personhood”. (That means fully developed, outside the womb, four chambered hearts, btw..)

The problem isn’t with his work ethic, it’s with his competence.

I wish we could pay politicians to do nothing! It’d be a whole lot better than paying them to actually do something!

The comments on this comic are funny because they go along with the other comic where Republicans clai they don’t talk like they are talking.

Yea! Congress will be in session less! That’s good news! That means they have less time to mess things up this year!
