North/South Division championships & semi-finals? ….. Nah. Wouldn’t work. Whoever heard of a North/South rivalry?

NW – SE games? That would work – I hate the west coast teams!

SEC and ACC against all others? Does not sound fair.

At one time they played the “Blue-Gray” bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. The game lost sponsorship and faded away.

There was an all star game that was North/South. It was called the Blue-Grey Game.

what happened to the fun in the hot tub?

There have been both East-West and North-South All-Star games. The disadvantage of both is that traditionally the dividing lines have put a large population advantage for the East and North squads, perhaps to satisfy the vanity of the West and South; after all, the point of the Blue-Gray and such like was to refight the Civil War, where the South was fighting at a 2 or 3 to a disadvantage. And I guess the East-West games (invariably held in some West Coast venue) was to prove the greater health and vigor of Westerners. In each case, population discrepancies tended to prevail.

The Senior Bowl is the North-South bowl

The Blue-Grey Bowl are “former Confederate States” vs “Union States” schools

what happened to the Blue-Grey Game????!!!…it was from Mobile Alabama and was on every Christmas Day I miss it
