If memory serves me correctly, they had this discussion just before summer ended. Bye the way, when I first saw this one, I thought they were floating in the air since there were no shadows to pin them to the ground.
When I was that size, somewhere before the invention of fire, back-to-school in January was not fun.
We’d start the school year cranking up for Halloween, then Thanksgiving. Then Christmas and New Years (good for a couple weeks off!).
After that, Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays (celebrated separately then), Valentines Day, and then Easter, latter being the only one that really generated any excitement if you liked coloring eggs.
Nothing much else until Memorial Day, which signaled the end of the school year was soon….
January through June was kinda dull compared to September through December….
