Note,please: the problem is “unfettered” or unregulated, NOT "Capitalism! Even we “libs” recognize that self-growth through HONEST labor, in a legal, and regulated manner that defends the society from criminal acts (like all the ones made “legal” by “conservatives” changing laws and regulations to favor corporations and wealth) IS CAPITALISM, and is very, very, viable, AND it can still support SOCIAL programs to “promote the general welfare” without becoming a “socialist” state.
Fiscal responsibility, and social conscience working in harmony are needed in government, it isn’t an either/or situation. But studying the “private sector” in the U.S. with an honest review, will find little of either today.
