The filibuster rule worked for over 200 years. It is only with the rise of the Progressive Left within the Democrat party that it cannot be tolerated as the Progressive Left is easly the most intolerant group in modern politics..Gerrymandering? Which party argues for minority voting districts? Which party wants all restrictions on voting removed for all intents and purposes?.Political corruption? Tammany Hall? Huey Long? Richard Daley? “The Chicago way?” New Orleans politics? The Democrats nearly corner the market on coruption.
Ansonia: according to “Lush Bimbaugh” this morning, 160 million, or 63% of those with health insurance, will lose it next year under ACA. HE’s of course ignoring all the insurance commercials on TV, especially the “news network programs” telling folks to come on down and sign up for health insurance! Those ads are also talking about better coverage and lower rates, So, okay, where is THAT coming from and how does it reflect the ACA destroying access??
Obamacare is working really well in many states (there were nice articles on California and Kentucky over the weekend), and it’s improving across the country. No surprise there. The surprise is the GOP deciding that they simply cannot work on anything at all because they need to spend 100% of their attention bashing the ACA. They even pretend to be offended the Obama is asking them to pass an immigration law! But we’re not done whining about Obamacare! This policy will not work past January 1, at which point they’ll have to figure out whether they are actually in favor of anything, and if so, what.
Ansonia, just turn off Rush, and his phony “sources”, and turn on the TV and watch a few of the ads, they’re common on news broadcasts. (But, considering the audience maybe not on Faux, I can only stand to watch a few minutes of their broadcasts, so don’t catch that many ads there.)

I see the teat party wingnuts are out in full voice. Living in a right-wing echo chamber does that.
