Ether the US didn’t know either, or the conspiracy nuts are right.

Sure, people spy on each other. I just wish the Americans weren’t so blatant about it. I am not referring to Snowden, I’m referring to places like Menwith Hill. Huge bases with huge radars aimed at Europe, with the single declared purpose of doing industrial espionage. I still don’t see why this is even news.

Actually, German intelligence were aware of the Hamburg cell (it is open to hot debate who initially informed whom, specifically their address, but certainly a couple years before 2001 someone in Hamburg had to their attention). They, like their American counterparts, were criticised for not sharing their intel, and for not acting on certain information.

Mr. Danziger…a question, if I may: how does monitoring Ms. Merkel’s Handy help in finding terrorists?

Monitoring Sra. Rousseff’s telemóvel is pertinent because….there are terrorist cells in Rio, São Paulo, Brasilia…?

    …they’re terrorist leaders? Must be.

What a patronising little cartoon. Daniziger, you’re better than this.
