If he was clever (though he wouldn’t have fallen for the 55 thing if he was), he’d tell his mom that he’s been bragging to everyone about how good she looks for being in her late 50’s, early 60’s since he knows she’s been driving for a few years. The parents might think twice about making up a story like that again.
It’s interesting to see what age different people think of as old. I used to think 100 meant decrepit but as it gets closer I expect to live to at least 100 and be healthy and have a good sex life as well!

To kids Bob’s age….the parents are not 55. The parental units are at least a hundred. If not older.
