Just back the cat in, that way the claws can’t hook on the carrier. Works wonders even if you are trying to get a cat in carrier with tornado sirens and weather radio squaks blaring.
I only deal with birds. With Cuddles, I would take her to our vet just sitting on my arm in car (I kept her wing feathers trimmed and also did her nails myself). I had no problem with cage because she knew she had to go in there for airlines regulations and I explained it to her. In the beginning she did not want to hold still while I filed nails with the Dremel, but at the vet or groomer they simply wrapped her unceremoniously in a damp towel. When I explained her choices, she obliged me.
She knew I like to save money and do all that myself (my own hair and nails).
ROFLMAO! This one is PRICELESS! I read about this idea a few weeks ago. Trouble is, IMHO, it would only work if you start them out as kittens with their vet visits. 2 of my cats takes 2 of us to get them in, if we can find them first. Somehow, they know, they just know, even if you haven’t brought the taxi out yet. Now my dogs, just got in the car for a “car ride”. Much easier! :-D

I just bought one that opens at the top. Drop him in, zip it shut….easy peasy

I’ve never had much trouble with cats or dogs. ; ) Once you’ve mastered working with horses, the others are not so tough.
