Britain, New Zealand, Canada, and other countries with national health care do NOT have “free” health care, those premiums called “taxes” are paid by folks, BEFORE they might need the services. From “socialized” medicine, to various forms of other government regulated systems, with PRIVATE practitioners, the simple fact is that the systems are cheaper than in the U.S., and overall, provide BETTER service! BTW, note that federally sponsored cancer and other medical research now “shut down” is raising hackles because even TEA party types, and gee, Republicans, have family members affected by the loss of these GOVERNMENT services. Also, as the government doesn’t PATENT those discoveries, when PRIVATE CORPORATIONS then step in to PATENT and produce what comes from that research, Americans get to pay through the nose, to receive those benefits in the end…
