Well, that may very well be the case however we shall see who’s foot the bullet hole is in. Don’t you DARE bow to extortion Obama. I voted for him twice. How many times have the Koch bro’s been elected?!? Oh that’s right, to have a “voice” in govment (did I say that right t-bagger) all you gotta do is have a fat wallet. Drop some more coin Alderson and see if that changes anything.
Maybe one of our Fox “news” viewers can explain:-Is the government shutdown a good thing or a bad thing.-If it’s a good thing, WHY are they trying to blame it on Obama, and why is Fox “news” trying to rename it as government slowdown or slimdown?-If it’s a bad thing, why did so many Republicans run on a platform of shutting down the government and express such glee when it happened?-I’m guessing that a choice between good and bad and the subsequent explanation is beyond the capabilities of our Fox “news” viewers, but we’ll see.
Martens: and interesting link, indeed. What I find interesting is the role of “evangelicals”, like Ted Cruz, who’s father is a key player in the effort to turn America into a “Christian theocracy”, or dominionist. To note: there is NOTHING “libertarian” in the least among those who have a sectarian and theocratic view of what government should be!
The atrocities against the Jews of Europe, for centuries, was the result of “Christian theocracy”, and it was under the Moorish occupation in Spain they historically had the greatest FREEDOM! I speak often of my opposition, NOT TO “JEWS”, but rather to the extreme right-wing in Likud, and represented by Mr. Netanyahu, who have a Zionist theocratic approach to persecuting the Arab (Muslim AND Christian) Palestinians whose lands they began occupying (some legally purchased) in 1948, and seized more, quite illegally, in 1967! The “checkpoints” on the West Bank, and confinement of Gaza as essentially a prison camp, is beyond the atrocious behavior in the divided Germany with THAT wall!
The radicalism depicted in the ’toon IS quite true, and it HAS been the recalcitrance of radical Republicans, displacing, the old “mainstream”, that HAS caused the problems, the sequester, AND the “shutdown”.
The talking points of the Speaker have grown more ridiculous every day. For many years, BOTH PARTIES, have been guilty of inserting riders or “plants” inside “must pass” legislation. But the Republican House today isn’t even making the pretense of following the will of the people as expressed in law, and approved by SCOTUS!
Improving the PPACA is something that is needed, but that is NOT the agenda. Shutting down the government in a fit of pique is NOT the answer.
HQ, who failed to send a budget that could be signed. That would be the house. Who has majority in the house. That would be the republicans. again facts are a pesky little thing.
Again, Bennett proves himself to be a bigoted idiot. The house of representatives have passed SEVEN different partial bills and sent them on to the Senate.
And, DemoTAXocrat Harry Reid refuses to bring them up for a vote and the Pretender-in-Chief, Obama, ‘refuses to negotiate’ but says the Republicans are the ones who are refusing to negotiate.
Sometimes Bennett is funny. But most of the time his stupidity is really, really sad.
“…hate…” that’s pretty strong don’t you think? Certainly wasn’t written that way. Of course it’s all a matter of “perception” anyway isn’t it?!? At least my comments aren’t hidden behind a fake name. I’ll stand behind my opinions. Can you say the same?!?

Boehner refuses to take a vote because he knows he would lose, and the clean bill would pass.

So Harley, is government shutdown a good thing, or a bad thing?-Seems like an easy question to me, but let me know if it’s too complex for ya.
