If Republicans think Obamacare won’t be successful, why are they terrified at the prospect of it being implemented?-If they truly believed the citizenry would suffer as a result of Obamacare, why not just reap the political reward?-Unless, of course, they are terrified that it will succeed and everyone whose health care improves will remember who fought so hard against it.-I mean, it’s not as if they are unwilling to have something bad happen to the country, like say, damage to its credit rating, if they believe they will gain politically.

When CEOs met in NY for two events, they said their businesses needed Congress to put together a longterm budget plan in order for “job creators” to create jobs and make investments in infrastructure and innovation. They also said the gov’t needs to work on infrastructure/public works projects to just maintain what we have, and SHOULD be working to improve our national infrastructure. Bridges, roads, pipelines, power grids, levees, computer security, etc etc etc. are getting older and are at risk from age and/or attacks by terrorists.^Americans are entering the season where they want to spend money on Halloween treats, decor, and costumes; Thanksgiving travel, food, and decor; and Christmas travel, food, decor, and gifts. In the past, this time of the year was the when small businesses and corporations both either met or failed to meet their profit goals for the year.^The military and corporations have warned that our current generation of young people are physically and educationally inadequate for the positions that need to be filled. There are schools, public/charter/private, that are using techniques that are making students smarter and healthier, but states and the federal gov’t are still cutting funding to the “Human Infrastructure” on whose shoulders the future of our nation rests. Even worse, the example of divisiveness and incivility we adults are setting for these young people encourages them to believe this nation does not appreciate or even like them. ^Despite these very important issues, the two parties devote all of their time fulfilling Geo.Washington’s warning that parties would divide and weaken our nation. Instead of fixing the ACA, they fight over it and ignore all of the threats I’ve listed above, threats to which I’m certain readers could add.And WE are not only allowing legislators to behave this way, but by our own lack of civility and respectful, we encourage them, and the media extremists who promote them. The American people are being crushed by the grinding stone.Respectfully,C.

A family of 4 paid an open market premium of $333 a month? They are lucky they didn’t need to test the limits of their coverage.

No, I think the whole thing should be repealed and the Democrats offer a public apology to the America people for being so myopically narsicissticly imbicelic as to have voted it in to begin with.

Progressive Leftists are the single most destructive force on a society there is in existance.

And, Nantucket19, as Obama is a hard core Progressive Leftist, I am generally against almost anything he does; and with good reason.

Wish I could reply to the comments where they are, but – conserbvativegov (that says a lot) does not really understand what is going on. Rates typically are NOT going to triple as you suggest the letter said. If they keep their current insurance, maybe, because that is what insurance companies do – rip you off. If they get coverage on the exchange it will be a different story. Do some research and do not believe the crap you get with big red letters on it.

Enoki – No law is perfect when it is rolled out. There are things that need to be tweeked so that it will benefit everyone, A delay does not mean it is wrong or bad, as yo imply, it means there is something that can and should be fixed and it needs some time to do it.

No David I do know why the Left looks at non-Leftists like that. I won’t however insult you with the specifics. I don’t like giving the appearance of doing ad hominens.

I paid into Medicare for over 52 years. Now I have it, the gov takes out 101.00 each month from my social security, I have to pay income taxes on the whole thing, each year the medical part goes up, my secondary from working as a professor is BC/BS and that goes up every year. I am having my first major surgery: knee replacement and I still have to pay some bills for those who read the x-rays!I don’t get how AHC (refuse to call it OCARE) is going to help me as a senior citizen. I keep paying more each year in premiums and have to wait longer for wellness checkups and cant have a pap smear every year anymore. The gov doesn’t allow it!
