Rather than wind or solar power, I think I would go with an electro-magnetic generator. I’m currently looking into the cost and longevity of such a system.

Eagles are slower reacting, but casualties would be minor compared to the rate of avian deaths caused by skyscrapers. Strange there were never any such reports in the pre-REA days of abundant farm windmill pumps and generators. Studies of the Danish off-shore wind farms show most birds view them as a solid object and fly around the whole array, while gulls and cormorants view the maintenance platforms and ideal nesting sites. I think these avian death stories come from the American Petroleum Institute.
