One of my favorite movies is Anthony Quinn’s, “Shoes of the Fisherman”.While I’m not a Catholic, I appreciate religious leaders who lead by example, and with the love. This pope is a human and may one day disappoint us, I know many in Argentina feel he failed them during the time of Pinochet, however…This year, and today, he is setting an example of Tolerance, Love, & Compassion. The world needs all the TLC it can get.Great cartoon, Mr. Heller. Thank you for showing Christians how Jesus wanted us to be to one another, Pope Francis.Gratefully,C.
RT: all due respect, Pinochet was Chile, the “other generals” were in Argentina making the “disappeared”. But yes it was history, and I think as Francis he’s going to do better? (btw, also Buddhist, not Roman Catholic, but a “bible religion” leader who tries to really live the positive side of faith, IS a welcome change, be it Christian, Jew, OR Muslim!)
