Apparently libs are extremely forgetful. Both sides have done exactly the same thing, Maybe it’s the long ears clouding your judgment. Or maybe you’re both just following the same mantra without thought. Probably both.
The cartoon lacks total believability. It shows both parties in a single room negotiating without the presence of a lobbyist to tell them how to think. That said, I agree with every commentator who precedes me here to one degree or another. Every tactic being used by the right was first used by the left, but the right has used it with much more skill and in the last six years, to a greater extreme. However, like the banks who drove America into recession, there will be no consequences for the bipartisan plutocrats driving the middle class into poverty while enriching those who will, through superpacs and regular donations, eliminate any good people who want to run in favor of career politicians or those who wish to become same. Both parties are having trouble recruiting intelligent and objective minds because those kind of minds do not wish to descend into the sewage of Washington politics. Please write your legislators. It’s the only tool we have.Respectfully,C.
Mechanic: having been in NPS, and BLM for decades, NPS is a little like “Marine” once in the “green and gray” you always are. The parks are NOT “non-essential” in the least to our existence as a valid nation, that sees the world in a perspective beyond greed and destruction. Which is exactly why “conservatives” who want to conserve nothing, James Watt being their first real poster boy, are so repulsive to any “true” American. In a nation that touts altruism as we instead seek hegemony over all nations, and to quote the Declaration of Independence “nature, and NATURE’S GOD”; if we care nothing for what literally supports all other things in this nation, THE LAND, and nature means nothing, then all other declarations are fraud and hypocrisy.
Per, the toon, and hypocrisy at it’s source, the fable may be true as we look at our “wars”, against drugs, and “terror”; perhaps it’s true that indeed elephants ARE terrified of MICE, as their great WARS in the actual military sense have been against tiny foes, like Grenada, Panama, Afghanistan (that ‘15th century warrior), and Iraq (totally defanged in ’92 but still put up as a war power a decade later, as an excuse for all out war). And still the elephant with it’s big feet, stomps around in terror, stepping on the wrong foe, or innocent bystanders, and can’t actually “win” the war!
Now we look at another mouse, maybe it IS a rat, which matters not, the real point is, the herd demands command and control, and in the circus, refuses the help of the bear.
Hmm, but in the real circus, when the animals perform well, and are well-behaved, we applaud, we don’t insist on euthanasia as “entertainment”.

Oh well it is a cartoon site!!Seems like you’re taking more time to discuss recently. I appreciate hearing everyone’s thoughts, even if I don’t agree.

“Neither party tries to find a solution and bopth parties add to the suffering of Americans.”
Exactly.
So – why pick on the Dems?

“Show me the contributors to the Democrats and I bet they are friends of both parties and are contributors Democrats are special to as well.”
Quite right.
So – why do you constantly point the fingers at the ‘Dems’?

Aside from all the partisan BS, here’s the secret to getting anchovies right.
Cut ’em up fine, sprinkle evenly all over.
Else you’re going along, yum, cheese, pepperoni, etc., then WHAM! a Whole Powerful Salty Little Fish! No wonder people are put off.
