Rock on Garth!

You can’t always tell the gravity of the situation when you’re stoned…..“They’ll stone you when you’re tryin’ to be so good, They’ll stone you just like they said they would….”

Right now the "World’s Policeman’s’ government is shutting down due to lack of funding. What would happen if all of the ‘cops’ enforcing peace in the world were de-funded… Maybe peace would break out… Wouldn’t that be a surprise?

There is not one more free, than he, who has nothing left to lose.

It was already a desert.

Based on Al-Shabab, The Taliban, et. al., if the cops were defunded, we’d have permanent chaos. Not to mention psychos, Neo-Nazis, skinheads, gang bangers, etc.

That doesn’t mean we need to BE the world’s policeman.

You can tell the oppressed are overwhelmed with joy at the thought of freedom!

Badly done. The “bad guys” on the opposite ledge and the people on the ground ought to be different colors, otherwise readers have the right to assume they’re part of the same group.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, our current folks out for hegemony need a smaller rock, and shorter lever. “Whack a mole” isn’t a rational mode of “defense”, diplomacy, cooperation, and coordinated international efforts is. The “mallet” should only be used as a last resort when ALL the players have failed to convince the “recalcitrant” with lesser tools.

Wliey,The U.S. has been regarded as a great power since it defeated Spain in 1898. After World War I it was considered to be the world’s greatest power. Even after military spending shrank between the tow World Wars the U.S. was the greatest Industrial and economic power in the world. Nazis like Goering tried to say that industrial capacity did not equate to military power, but Churchill understood better. He compared the U.S. to a giant boiler, that heated slowly, but was massively effective after.

I’ve always wondered how the “world policeman” could hope to police the world when it can’t even clean up its own backyard?

^At least when you die in your cave, we won’t have to wast government money (like taxpayers) on your pauper’s grave, which is the most you’d have without “government”.
