If we’d just gotten “single payer”, and made drug competition for pricing part of Medicare, and provided or universal protection for medically necessary procedures, and some preventative medicine programs, all with doctors and hospitals remaining PRIVATE PRACTITIONERS, but with some restraints on insurance or other corporate entities to assure real competition, rather than corporate monopolies, well, that would have been both “capitalist”, with “social equity”, and a lot cheaper than even the arguing has been!

Hmmm, while I agree Obama should have used veto more often, forcing Congress to go back, and take the blame for what they’ve done, even if it didn’t get better bills back to his desk, it’s amazing Tigger has extrapolated so many others’ positions and put them in my “mouth”.

We should have had a better bill, with only about 200-300 pages max, but that is not the way CONGRESS works any more. But, if folks realized about 80% of most bills is just “legalese garbage”, or cross references to other laws already passed, a lot of that text is just wasted paper, to keep people from seeing what’s in the “cracks”. (which is where the real damage is done!)

Republicans/Fox “news” viewers do not want health care to be improved in America, but are too cowardly to say so.-They follow the lead of Mitch McConnell and believe that the American health care system is the best in the world and needs no improvement whatsoever.
