“most interesting places on Earth can’t be enjoyed by civilized people”
See America first. Monument Valley is far more impressive than anything they built in Egypt."monument valley is one of my favorite places on earth. been there three times (and don’t forget the ‘valley of the gods’ or the mokee dugway while you’re there:http://www.midwestroads.com/otherstates/mokidugway/
however, I do have to point out that no-body ‘built’ monument valley, it just came that way from the manufacturer.
Drum roll please………….I agree with YOU!I have been to 42 of our 50 states and can’t wait to see the other 8. Also I would love to explore more areas of those 42. Our country is so vast and with so many differing regions with both natural and man-made wonders. Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone and Yosemite come to mind. Also NYC was a great place to visit. No $1200 airline ticket to Europe, no overpriced hotels, no passport, no worries about being a “foreigner” without the protections of being a US citizen. We drove across the country in a rented RV and mapped out our route to include all the places we wanted to see and campgrounds along the way. It’s an experience I’ll never forget and yet there are so many places we haven’t seen yet.Btw I haven’t been to Egypt, but the way things have been, I don’t think you could pay me to take a vacation anywhere in the Middle East.I’ll watch Nat. Geo. to see the pyramids.
Been to Egypt, rooted around in the sewage at the bottomof Port Said for 30 minutes looking for an antenna we droppedoff the ship…couldn"t count all the shots I had to get afterwards…Lots of interesting things to see, but dirty andsmelly.
