She’s in the wrong, she should take her stuff and get out. It’s not the employee’s fault, he didn’t schedule a sale, he didn’t tell her to buy something, didn’t make her lose the receipt, and there are policies and rules and if you bend them or break them you can get in trouble which can include a write up, a written warning, a demotion, or being fired. All cause the center of the universe can’t understand she’s not actually the center of anything.
