Your local guy probably would have been shocked and amazed that a pizza chain could go nation-wide selling pies that taste just like the box they came in!
Do miss Pizza! I tried making one gluten free with vegan cheese and ate (most of) one of the 4 servings. The rest is still in the freezer (has my own sauce and mushrooms on it) but BLAHH ! I may bake them when weather cools and feed to the outside birds (hate waste).
The Papa Johns near hotel back when I was house-hunting had good ones but the one near this house were very greasy and I did not like when I finally tried them.
I got to making my own of whole wheat dough (and sauce with broccoli as above) but when I’m off this vegetarian diet I will use all lower fat cheese (and no pepperoni).
