I was actually in the middle of spot news about 20 years ago. Local display shot off one shell every five to ten minutes (so it seemed); but the wind kept blowing the shots over the crowd, to the point where burning embers were falling among us. After three or four such shots, the fire marshal shut down the show. Two days later, UXO was found on top of the nearby high school building.
