My health insurer charges $202 per month for hospital cover. Medical cover is extra. As I’m mid sixties and have always been healthy, I just use the government’s free Medicare for the occasional doctor’s visit. What I miss out on claiming such as glasses or dentist I more than cover from not paying a monthly premium. Got to admit Australia does have good health care system.
