It does crack me up when all the TV shows talk about using DNA, finding someone in CODUS, and getting a match in 20 minutes, when it still takes days, or weeks, to get a DNA profile back from a lab.And of course, on CSI, theres only ONE print from ONE finger on any item. (BtW, on one burglary investigation we lifted prints from over 150 people (it was a rental), and we caught the guy with a vehicle description, and his prints matched only ONE set, and we had five fingers, and still needed nine points of agreement (on each finger) to make it “stick”.)
