BTW, “accuracy folks”, they also ran the guy down with a car, crashing it into a pole, BEFORE attacking him with the weapons. The CCTV coverage was NOT all shown on U.S. stations. And yes, the woman was interviewed about her encounter to get the guy to stop attacking, post-homicide, and she had attempted to treat the soldier, realized he was dead, and did indeed act as a heroine.
When a woman ran over a police officer in Portland, attempting to kill him (autos are used lethally against police officers more than “blunt weapons” in the U.S. btw), their was an outcry that this poor little meth freak, with warrants, who’d been arrested many times before, was being “picked on” because they were charging her with attempted murder.
Question: is there really a difference between using a 150 grain bullet, or a 5,000 pound car, as a lethal weapon, with intent to kill?
But, back to the ’toon, in the U.S. today, far more people are pulling out cell phones to take pictures they hope to SELL to the media, rather than step in to help.. The women in London DID do the “right” thing!
So, what’s our answer? Do we try to wipe Islam off the face of the earth? There are more followers of Islam than any other religion on the planet; far more than Christians. And many of them are very well armed.
Is it time to start internment camps, like we did in WW II to Japanese-Americans?
Crazy gunmen, many of them Christians, kill tens of thousands a year in this country. Yawn. Crazy Muslims killed one person in London, and 8 in Boston, and we’re ready to drop the Big One on them.
This is not to excuse the guilty. But violence in the name of religion and violence because the people next door play their music too loud are both violence.
You cannot arrive at the correct answers if you do not ask the correct questions.
