    We CAN build to withstand flooding, earthquakes, wild fires, and hurricanes, but tornadoes trump all efforts except for shelters that CAN withstand the forces, while larger buildings can’t be economically constructed to totally “survive” a direct hit.

    It’s a lot like buying a “big” car, only to be hit by a semi truck, or having a semi hit by a train. No matter how big you are, there’s always something bigger, well, except for tornadoes.
