Which one of you brats put a penny on the track?!
Urban myth …
It was me, several times, in fact.
I left a bug on the track once (my VW got stuck between the rails)…cost me 200, 000 pennies.
I did that when I was a kid and pennies were worth something.
Ah yes, that surge of youthful adrenaline after our perceived misdeeds. Good times, good times.
It was the late 70’s, dark that night in the southern California desert, crossing sign misplaced, I was (well, I was…)…
I just wonder if anyone has the pennies they put on the tracks I not sure what I did with mine .
Penny may not work but as young punks the large tree branch we put on the tracks sure got the train rocking some when it hit it. One of my many stupid adolescent decisions.

Obviously, it was a Kryptonian penny.
