Actually, most if not all have been ‘cleared’ by the military. They have not had a proper trial or opportunity to defend themselves.They were the victims of the ‘bounty’ policy of the US Army in Afghanistan. The USA will not return a British citizen to the UK as he is not white. This is not left-wing propaganda. It is being reported in our right-wing press.
They were not captured on the battlefield. They were sold for $5000 to settle grudges, grab land etc. The doughboys thought that this policy would get reliable info on terrorists. That’s a fail!
