My Uncle’s dog used to ring the doorbell to be let inside. Mine were always too small do that, though.

Re: Dog Gone Funny — I like dogs as much as anyone, but if your mutt starts barking at 6:00 in the morning and sets off a chain reaction like that, guess what? You may well come home that night to find yourself minus a pooch!

Our outside back door didn’t latch on the house I lived in growing up.. The second dog we had figured out that by getting up on his hind legs and pounding on the door with his front legs, he could get the door to open so he could come in.. He also learned how to use his front paws to turn door knobs.
