Actually, you people, when a skeet shooter shoots his first “Straight” (breaks all 25 targets on the skeet field in a row), tradition requires all the shooters at the club line up on a skeet field, and he throw his hat in the air filled with broken clay pieces, and everyone shoots the hat. (this has been done for decades and is done in a safe manner)The mangled hat is a trophy to his first Straight! Then you go for 50 straight, 75 straight, etc…

At my graduation from the University of Maryland, the dean shook my hand, looked me in the eye, smiled and said, “the diplomas are out of order…someone else may have your diploma.” It was a special moment that I’ll never forget.
