One man’s “crazy” is another man’s “committed idealist”. That should not be forgotten.

Most gun deaths in the U.S. are NOT the actions of a mentally ill person. Most terrorist acts are performed by “committed persons” out to make a point. (or get fame and publicity.)

It’s actually kind of frustrating. In Boston we blame the bomber, not the bomb. But in Sandy Hook, we blame the gun, not the shooter. Why is that?

“We had that once, but Reagan cut funding "

And how many years ago was that and how many different regimes have we had in Washington that had the ability to change that situation? Try again.

“It’s actually kind of frustrating. In Boston we blame the bomber, not the bomb. But in Sandy Hook, we blame the gun, not the shooter. Why is that?”very simple, if you don’t try to be dense.pressure cookers and mail are not expected to be lethal weapons. One does not approach a pressure cooker, or a letter with an expectation or a clue that they might end up dead or seriosly maimed. Killing and maiming is not the designed purpose of a pressure cooker or a letter. However, firearms ARE designed to kill and maim. It is their purpose in life. Any responsible firearm owner/handler is well aware of this and when responsible takes precautions that his firearm does not kill or main UNTIL s/he decides that it is appropriate to kill or maim (or threaten to kill or maim) with it.hope that clears up the difference for you between firearms, pressure cookers, letters, and i think we can throw automobiles in there too.

the action of the pressure cooker is to make delicious food. the action of a car is to transport. We all know what the action of a firearm is.can you actually sit there and expect us to believe after columbine, aurora, giffords, sandy hook, and now some 4 year old killed his mom (by accident) son of deputy, while they had their backs turned for a moment?I do not accept there is ‘no problem’, or that it is not firearm related.

    “Still spouting tonteria.”

¿Tu puedes buy a bomb without a license and credentials? ¿No?

“You can buy black powder, ball bearings, nails and pressure cookers without any form of checks.”

Esas mercancias are intended for a proper use. Hay una reason porque you can’t sue a kitchen utensil company if someone was killed with one of their butcher’s knives. I fully understand the point. Tu on the other hand want to change the subject by injecting guns into the conversation. If I decide to use gasoline as a weapon instead of using it to make my car move then I am doing something illegal. Buying a gun with no background check to see if I am loco in the cabeza is a big time problem. Plus guns are used to kill.

And I speak spangilsh you racist cabron. Learn to speak spanish. That is why the old joke that if you speak one language you are an American is so true.
