Seems to meas though the alleged “loser” is one of the few non-losers in this strip.

The only reason to use the charge plate these days is when the link to the computer doing the credit card transaction is down.…The exception being the rental car company, where many companies insist on getting an imprint of the credit card numbers, the expiration date and the name on the card.

When I worked for dad at his “service” station years agocredit cards were just coming on line..About 2 times a week someone would hand me a card and I’d have to go find the blasted imprinter because dad had misplaced it somewhere
