Makes perfect sense to me - she doesn’t technically get anything, neither does he.

Anyone ever had to read that stupid story in middle school of the idiot who made a deal with a lord to sleep on a mountainside naked and if he survived he’d get to marry the daughter, so the daughter lit a fire outside and he concentrated on the fire even though he was far away and he was able to keep warm by mental concentration. So the lord foound out and said that voided the contract. So the man hosted a feast and had everyone over and they could smell all the varying courses but not eat them. Finally the lord asked why they couldn’t eat and…you get the point. No one remembers that stupid story? Just me huh? Well this comic’s a hell of a lot better.

Excellent. Haven’t seen this one before.
