It’s horrible when someone in power forces the oil companies to give up the profits they legitimately earned and then diverts to money into it a redistribution of wealth scheme, aimed at buying the loyatly of the masses.
If you’re a Christian, then you cannot believe this cartoon. One thing Chavez disagreed with Castro about is belief in God. Chavez believed in God and that Jesus was his Lord and Savior.
One of the first things that really shocked me when I moved from Europe to North America was the difference in news.
Specifically I noticed a story that in European press went: “Chavez has closed down a television station sponsored by the American government that ran a 24/7 cycle agitating for a revolution against him.”
The same story in American news read: “Mad Dictator Chavez closes down opposition television station”
My Venezuelean friends thinks he is the best thing that ever happened. He did not move the oil money from rich Venezueleans to poor Venezueleans. He moved it from rich Americans to poor Venezueleans. Spot the difference.
It is amazing how many cartoonists equate being anti-American to a sin worthy of eternal damnation, especially for a man who died “within the bosom of the Church.”

Not more than 973 editorial cartoons published with this theme. ‘Course it’s early.

The Devil himself? Nooooo, I wouldn’t go that far.
THAT would make Ugo ‘Kingfish’ Chavez worse than Kim Jong Un, Bashar al-Assad, and, Robert Mugabe.

What Jester said is true. Look at the Alaska Department of Revenue and see for yourself. Get informed.

Jesus loved the poor and condemned the rich – just like Chavez – I would bet a lot on his salvation Not sure about Lloyd Blankfein
