Having a kid is like having a dog that slowly learns to talk.

Has anyone read Tobermory – http://www.sff.net/people/doylemacdonald/l_tober.htm – by Saki (H.H.Munro) ? A talking pet, in this case a cat, can be a liability.

Dogs do talk, to each other. With body language, woofs and growls. We just can’t understand them. ;)

Dogs don’t need to talk, they read minds expertly. Mine know if I am even thinking about food.
