In a Detroit church one Sunday morning, a preacher said, “Anyone with ’special needs” who wants to be prayed over, please come forward to the front by the altar."

With that, Leroy got in line, and when it was his turn, the Preacher asked, “Leroy, what do you want me to pray about for you?”

Leroy replied, “Preacher, I need you to pray for help with my hearing.”

The preacher put one finger of one hand in Leroy’s ear, placed his other hand on top of Leroy’s head, and then prayed and prayed and prayed. He prayed a “blue streak” for Leroy, and the whole congregation joined in with great enthusiasm.

After a few minutes, the preacher removed his hands, stood back and asked, “Leroy, how is your hearing now?”

Leroy answered, " I don’t know. It ain’t ’til Thursday."

Boehner is simply the worst liar in Congress. Oh, wait, there’s Cantor, Ryan, McConnell, and the rest of the “toxic waste right”.

Rockngolfer: there are SO many on the right from the TEA party wing that may be going someday to be “prayed” over for whom they’ve preyed upon.

Anyone who thinks Obama “got his tax increases” is either lying or being lied to. The tax increases included in the fiscal cliff deal will bring about $500-$600 billion in additional revenue over ten years. Obama had been calling for about $1.4 billion in additional revenue, but made the deal with the understanding that he & Congress would tackle the rest in the next session. The Republicans have decided they will not negotiate one cent more in revenue, despite the fact that even Bowles-Simpson was calling for an additional $1.2 billion. In the meantime, the GOP is trying to replace the Sequester cuts to the Defense budget while leaving the other cuts in place. I can not understand how anyone thinks the Republicans are serious about the deficit.

I have this one email buddy that I don’t hear from for weeks at a time and then I get 30 emails in a day. Most are cartoons and jokes.
