This is at least the 2nd cartoonist who has Berlusconi aspiring to be pope (after Oliphant). As I understood it, Berlusconi’s re-election plans have been hampered, if not thwarted, by the pope’s resignation announcement.
Yeah, I was stunned they hadn’t laughed him away by now.
The Vatican has seen worse. Pope Alexander VI, for example.
