“Go ahead and sequester! That gigantic yawn you hear is coming from productive Americans who couldn’t care less!”
Go ahead and yawn. Regardless of what gets cut, and how much, there will be job loss. If those cuts are not properly targeted, the job loss will be much less manageable and more traumatic to the general economy. And many “productive Americans” will not be yawning when they lose their jobs as a result of Congress not doing its own job.
Mark my words that if these sequester cuts are made everyone will end up paying the price. Markets will roil, as gas prices will soar along with unemployment & long lines at the airports. Congress & Pres. Obama need to compromise & come up with a viable budget that won’t hurt the economy.
Republican Governor Rick Scott cut $1.3 billion from the state budget last year. Now he is proposing an increase of $1 billion and calling himself the education governor. Morale among teachers, bus drivers, and college students is way down.If we have nationwide austerity, then morale is going to get worse and worse.
you are correct about that. It’s funny that the conservatives don’t mind making sure the mega-rich, the corporations and wall street having tax cut (those who make 90% of all the money), but are afraid the children, the disabled and the old and out of work will get spoiled.
Excellent! Everyone keep your focus on the [D] President for ‘spending’ when such bills originate in the® controlled house. It’s ALL the [D] Presiden’ts fault. ALL THE [D] FAULT.

The sequester was his idea. He threatens to VETO any bill that does not include the sequester. Yet he keeps blaming the right for the sequester.
