French is my first language and yet I don’t watch french stand-up comedians because in North America, their jokes often don’t make sense or are just not funny. French comedians who want to make a breakthrough in Quebec (or vice-versa) have to re-write their act.
I grew up watching and reading Tintin, Asterix and Lucky Luke. Goscinny was a genius!
