Even Bobby Jindal, one of those who laments that the GOP should be seen as a party of the rich, is pushing to abolish his income tax and replace it with a sales tax. That’s a huge shift of tax cuts for the rich, big tax increases for the poor and middle class. They ARE the stupid party, and it’s not just what they say. It’s what they actually believe.

I had never thought of that. You come up with some good stuff. Are you old enough to remember Red Skelton? He had a routine where he said the heart is just a pump. So think of all of those old songs that have the word heart in them and replace it with pump.I left my pump in San Francisco.

“…repubs would like them to get jobs…” haven’t you heard the term “working poor” in today’s lexicon? many of the poor HAVE jobs, some have 2! but poverty level wages produce poor people. and look up the new term “permatemp worker” busniesses are replacing full-time workers with part-time and/or temporary workers so they can; 1. pay them lower wages and 2. give them NO benefits.

I also posted this on todays ‘Non Sequitur’ toon: How would citizens’ world be different if citizens had billions to spend on congressional lobbyist like corporations do? FYI I said citizens because that delineates between the person which is a human being and the new supreme court ‘person’ which could appaently be Exxonmobil, at&t, Pepsico or possibly a tax-exempt multimillion $ SUPERPAC. For as of now; citizens may vote in elections "corporate persons’ (corporatsons) cannot.

Republicans want to ‘re-brand’. -But putting a brand new spiffy label on a can of defecation does not change the contents.
