Now Yale is suing students because they’re defaulting.

Mostly agree, but the cost of going to school, like the cost of home ownership, vehicle purchase and most of all healthcare has far exceeded most families income gains.

States are cutting from the Univerisities budget. The baby boomers got pretty much free tuition, but screw the next generation, we want our lower taxes!

My son is a veteran, back in school and paying his way with help from the “new” GI Bill. BUT! It IS important to note that even adjusted for inflation, his cost for one semester at a state “community college”, is more than my tuition (also on GI bill) for my entire four years to get my degree at a university! Yes, costs have soared, and tax support has declined drastically in most states.

But hey, who cares, who should pay any taxes? After all, who wants or needs education, that obviously is used only by “liberals”.

To quote the father of a kid who seriously needed reading glasses, after told by his ex-wife that the child was reading two grades below his level,:

“Well, I only got a seventh-grade education. Didn’t hurt me none.”

So, the child did not get glasses.

As far as college goes: now that we have Wikipedia, who needs college?

We are producing a generation of workers who are already pre-indebted! This society is seriously wrong in it’s choice’s of priorities.

Yup, those doctors, nuclear physicists, engineers, and weapons designers all turned “commie” while getting their degrees. Hmm, well as China does think more of education than “righties” in the U.S., maybe that is true.
