I’m sure he has to be! Poor guy. I never understood people who either ask trick questions on purpose or deliberately misinterpret the answers just to trip up the other person. It’s just mean and unnecessary.
Hello Cathy friends! What a game that was! Too bad the Falcons couldn’t hold onto their lead, but Brady is an incredibly good QB and his sick mom was there, so at least it went for a good reason. Bravo to the Patriots!
Poor Irving! I absolutely, positively hate when people play stupid little mind games like this with their significant other. For some silly reason, it’s like they’re spoiling for a fight so they passive-aggressively set “traps” in order to make sure it happens. Why can’t people simply be more straight-forward and honest with each other? Cathy may be an adult chronologically but mentally, she acts just like an 8-year-old child a lot of the time!

Hello and Happy Monday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today! It was a disappointing Super Bowl loss last night for this particular Atlanta Falcons fan and while I can’t stand Tom Brady or the Patriots, there’s no doubt about it: the best quarterback leading the best football team definitely won the game so congratulations to them and all their fans. They played hard and they played smart so for that, they definitely deserved to win the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy this year. Better luck for the Falcons again next year!
I like his fingertips-on-the-edge-of-the-table look in the last panel. And, interesting how the background shape changes from heart to rectangle to heart.
