Thank goodness when I grew up and got married, my mother didn’t feel the need to continuously butt into my life over every single little thing that crossed her mind like Cathy’s mother does with her. She had enough sense to recognize the fact that I was no longer a little kid: that I was now a grown woman fully capable of making my own decisions and running my own life the way I saw fit without any unwanted or unneeded input from my “mommy” unless I specifically asked for it (which I never have, I might add). Because she allowed me to just ….. be ….. I’d say that’s the main reason why we get along so well today.

Yup. For some people where their kids are concerned (no matter how old they are) quitting is extremely difficult.
