Does anybody else besides me think it strange that everyone is missing from this meeting due to a test or screening of some kind . . . except Cathy, who probably at the very least needs a cardio and stress test done on herself about as much as anyone else?!

lightenup: Hey, Sis! So sorry to hear the info regarding your father-in-law and how tough this past weekend has been for you and your family. What is it with men (except legaleagle48, of course) who refuse to go to the doctor for regular physicals to make sure everything’s okay? My husband is exactly the same way. It’s not that he’s afraid to go because he says he’s not. He just refuses to spend the money! I’ve given up because I don’t want to nag him anymore — after all, he’s not a child and I’m not his mother. But he’s promised to go see a doctor no matter what the cost if something doesn’t “feel right” to him (and right now he says he feels perfectly fine). Hopefully his stubbornness won’t prevent him from keeping his word to me in the future but with him, you just never know. As for me, I do all the yearly tests I’m supposed to do because if there is anything to find, then I wantit caught as early as possible in order to (hopefully!) save my life.
