My wife has been the best for 40 years. I suffered serious anxiety. She stood by me. I feel fortunate to be at a VA-university research hospital. My anxiety got worse while in the Navy. A research hospital does cutting edge stuff that traditional hospitals only use the accepted practices. Resident doctors are educated in the newest procedures. Moreover, they are supervised by professors.

Mom just can’t help taking it to the next level…casual, no longer formal! She’d agree with whatever Cathy says about her relationship with Irving, she’s that excited! Moms dream about this since they first find out they’re having a baby girl! Cathy’s Dad looks like he sort of understands what’s going on, but I think he’d rather stay out of this particular mother-daughter conversation… I hope you all have a great Friday! ;)

Ever when I went to Vietnam, I felt my father’s presence, making me be anxious. Even now and then, I feel his ghost, saying I am not doing enough. Thank goodness for my wife. We are going to enjoy our remaining days, being happy God gave them to us. Train trip to Grand Canyon and then circle around USA by trainLet go of your ghosts and have fun.Your friend, BC

Okay, this one was pretty funny. Good one, Cathy’s mom!Good morning, Cathy friends! My latest news… my husband wants us to move sooner than later because he can’t handle all this overseas traveling. So I’ve got to somehow double my efforts, which means I may or may not have time for comics. What that means is that if I’m gone for a while (weeks, months), don’t worry… I’ll be back as soon as I can! Hugs to all!

lightenup and GretchensMom – Thank you so much for your kind words. Very much appreciated. Re: the strip. Mothers are very much like that it seems. My wife has been planning for grandchildren now for over 30 years. Of course, nature being what it is, it is my younger daughter who appears to be the one to have our first grandchild. But even that won’t be for another couple of years – the wedding is planned for next year and she is ‘old-fashioned’ that way – education then marriage, then children.

My beloved is finally coming out of her blues. Her illness and death of her cat made her so blue. Lori said how could two people be so mean to each other when they loved each other so dearly. I am her only love. Mexican women do not give love out lightly. She is going on her first run in many years. She is such a tiny speed demon. She is the most capable, confident woman I know. Despite of lack of education, she reads complex English books and newspaper. Lori got her leadership from her. Whatever the situation, they know what has to be done.Like I said before, I would like to have us like that old couple at McDonald’s, just comfortable with the other’s presence.

“Sweat suitor”? That’s really not very flattering so I don’t think I’d let Irving hear you say that, if I were you. You just never know. Some people are pretty sensitive about the least little things so something like that might make the difference between a s-i-l that loves you . . . or one that can’t stand to be anywhere around you!!!!! ;-)

My wife and I visit the grave of Jennifer Mendez, Captain, United States Army at Fort Rosecrans Veterans Cemetery, San Diego. Volunteering for combat, she saved the lives of some wounded Army Rangers before being killed during a battle in Afghanistan. I am a Vietnam Veteran. Why would a tiny young woman with a big pretty Mexican smile like my wife volunteer for the insanity of battle? I got mad at Jennifer and the loss of promise she could have given us. Why didn’t you stay as a nurse at Fort Lewis? You had your mother to support. Those Green Berets and Rangers asked you WHY. Then I remember you save some of the wounded Rangers so they could go home to their families.Jennifer Mendez, a Mexican-American woman, was awarded the Silver Star with Combat Custer. Woman President 2016As Japanese, Philippines and United States restructures its defense against a more military aggressive China in Asia, it will call for a switch in fighting more mass combat forces. Currently, we have forces gauged toward terrorism. We will have to restructure our economics based on Chinese goods because of unfriendly relations with China and more towards American manufacturing. The world politics moves towards more force of arms because of China and Russia moving towards a more military stance. For a viable woman candidate, she must have a military background, minimum of being on a congressional defense committee. Moreover, the Republicans will not let the public forget then Secretary of State Clinton’s admission of lack of military protection of embassiesThe world is still ruled by the gun. The force of arms will be center stage for this election.
