Hi there, and good morning to all… Cathy’s Mom is right, a lot of mothers have their baby girl’s love life all decided before the baby can even lift her head (probably even before the baby is born and her parents know she is a girl). However, as an old saying goes, the best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray… And drive their mothers nuts when their daughters are adults with no “real” romance in sight. Besides, Cathy’s Mom, she’s only in the beginnings of the dating game…no fairy-tales here yet! ;)

When my son was born, I called my father. The first question he asked, does he have Chinese eyes? How do you tell from a newborn? When we visited them once, all attention went on my son. My daughter was the forgotten. But she was my father reborn. She had his drive. She had his charm. But she had my humanity and love of art. He never saw that a woman was an equal in his granddaughter.

My hopes are stuck in the “Up” position for my children but not as far as marriage and babies. I’m thinking education and possible fame. As for my education, time to get off the computer and finish studying for my final tomorrow.

I forgot you suffer from anxiety. Remember the story about you hiding in the closet when your cartoon strip came out. I’m done things like that. Lucky I have a doctor who treats me for it. He works as a university researcher, but he sees VA patients. Best doctor.
