Our pet parrot (Senegal) is like this. Only, because she can talk, she actually picked up on some of our phrases and when we leave we get “See you later” but, when we come back, we get “I’m back” followed by “Did you miss me?” Yes, it is cute, but it’s also sort of funny when we just go outside to get the mail or something and come back to “Did you miss me?”. Smart bird.
