Saw an Italian “big game hunt” where the animals were caged, and the courageous “hunter” stood outside and shot them. Yup, that pretty well sums up the Gaza situation.
I always had the feeling that Hamas is calling it a victory because that’s the only way they can get the folks living in Gaza to support the cease-fire
^Got a call last night from my son when he heard a large explosion near his place that sounded like the VDIED he was well familiar with in Iraq, it set off his PTSD. He was borderline panic. The call set off mine. Americans cannot perceive what it’s like to be under constant bombardment, like the people of Gaza getting their homes blown up. The “return fire” of small, mostly hand made and primitive rockets blowing up only agricultural fields 99.9% of the time in Israel, is NOT the same thing!

Well, for Hamas the political/military group, as opposed to the Gaza people, it may be a victory.
After all, a victory is when one has accomplished their objectives. It depends a lot on what their objectives are.
