It doesn’t matter whether gay marriage is “wrong” or not, people should be able to excercise they’re inalienable right to live as they want to, as long as they aren’t bringing harm to, or abridging the rights of, others. The moral argument against homosexuals marrying, or recreational drug use, is no weaker than the one against racism. If racists want to hate “others”, express such hatred, form groups to express such hatred, it’s legal regardless of it’s moral shortcomings. The same accomodation should be made for marriage equality and drug decriminalization.

Yes, but he represents a hateful negative and devisive element in American politics. The policy of NO, of take my ball and go home. The tea party has marked the end of the Regan revolution. Fiscal conservitsm in the republican party is dead. They are now socially conservative and Randian nut jobs. Now I watch the losers on TV telling me that the Dem’s must come to them in order to pass any legislation. It’s time for the Rep’s to realize that they lost and learn how to compromise.

Ordinarily, I disagree with HOWGOZIT’s opinions on political cartoons, but here he betrays his TRUE conservative values — that if two people want to get married, it’s not the government’s concern (or anyone else’s) that they are able to do so.

The feds need to dump marijuana from Class I, as it is NOT a narcotic, period, ever. Just like people’s personal lives on “marriage”, get some realistic views. Just like Prohibition was a huge, crime-increasing mistake, so to is the war on “pot”, calling it the war on drugs. Legalizing commercial hemp can bring HUGE benefits to America, saving our forests, creating job, and yes, even fuel for vehicles. As to “recreation”? Make it the same as alcohol licensing and restrictions, and focus on stopping the truly dangerous drugs, like meth, opiates, and black market prescription meds manufactured FAR in excess of legitimately prescribed amounts. AND, make medicare Part D negotiate drug prices!!

You made me laugh Ima! Very few people in the wedding industry are against marriage no matter who’s getting married. Or, in the case of an overly rich lady who had a ‘wedding’ for her dogs, what is getting married. Not sure why you’re being called a troll for this post tho. Maybe we should just all hit the bong and think about it….man.Glad to see you have a sense of humor, makes me think you might actually have some sense too. ;)just teasing.Respectfully, and perhaps full of horse poop, C.

No, not that at all. If you look at the election it shows neither party should ‘get their way’. As for spending, Bush signed every spending bill that he got, but also gave tax cuts and rebates. So for the Dems’ it’s ‘tax and spend’ bu the Rep’s ‘borrow and spend’. The truth is we need to reduce spending and increase revenue to pay off this debt. A great deal of our budget is for debt servicing, pay it off and there’s more money to cut from taxes. Bush should have paid down the debt. He had the opporunity, but added to it instead.

Hmm, “bong, bong, bong, lay off Iran”, makes a lot more sense than the constantly harped conservative agenda.
